Where are the classes?

You do not need a partner. Most people sign up solo but make fast friends. Joining with a partner is fine, just be advised there is a class rotation so that everyone dances with everyone else at some point.

How long are the classes?

Classes run 50 to 55 minutes with the remaining portion of the hour reserved for practice and addressing individual questions.

I already dance. Where should I start?

Unless you have specific previous experience in the dances being offered (casino or kizomba), you should start with the beginner class for each.

MONDAYS | CASINO

Casino Foundations | level 1

6pm Mondays

This class is for pure beginners — we start from zero. No partner is required.

Learn authentic looking & feeling casino from the ground up with an introduction to dancing in the rueda.

Registration includes video tutorials of all moves covered.

Casino & Rueda Lab | level 2

7pm Mondays

This class is for those with solid casino foundation to help bridge the gap from beginner to intermediate.

Completing the beginner series at least once is required.

Building on the fundamentals to build confidence in partner dancing and the rueda in a collaborative environment.

Cuban Social Dancing | level 3

8pm Mondays

This class is for intermediate to advanced casino dancers.

Significant time spent in level 2 is required to join.

Casino sequences for partner dancing and calls in the rueda made for the dance floor — all drawing from the rich world of Cuban dance.

THURSDAYS | KIZOMBA

series begin April 16th

Kizomba Foundations | level 1

8pm Thursdays

This class shows the fundamentals of kizomba & semba: basics 1, 2, and 3, then shuffle turns, estrela, saidas.

We'll use all of the above to develop the ability to improvise while social dancing.

Kizomba & Semba Lab

7pm Thursdays

This class is for those with a foundation in kizomba & semba. Some familiarity with basic 3, shuffle turns, estrela, exits etc. is required.

Build upon the basics while refining your social dance connection in this class + practica format.
